The article presents the possibility of using geophysical surveys to assess the stability of Carpathian slopes built of flysch deposits susceptible to mass movements. Landslide slopes located in the coastal zone of artificial water reservoirs are particularly susceptible to the loss of stability due to the erosion of this zone and the changing water level in the reservoir. Geophysical surveys of landslides carried out as a part of the research programs: PR-7 carried out by IMGW in 1972–1980 and SOPO carried out by PGI in 2009–2016 made it possible to develop a methodology of geophysical surveys enabling the determination of the geometry (course of the slip surface and range levels) of the existing landslides, information necessary to carry out a computational analysis of their stability. Examples of geometry of landslides in the coastal zone of the Czorsztyn reservoir and landslides in the area of hydrotechnical drifts of the Swinna-Poreba dam were presented. The possibility of a quantitative evaluation of the stability of the Carpathian slopes was also proposed on the basis of the SMR ( Slope Mass Rating) proposed by M. Romana, using the KFG ( Klasyfikacja Fliszu-Geofizyczna) geophysical classification equivalent to the RMR ( Rock Mass Rating) classification by Z.T. Bieniawski for the assessment of the massif. A dozen or so active landslides were compiled for which the stability was determined using the SMR method.

Potoczna obserwacja codzienności ujawnia rosnące znaczenie metod nauki o danych (data science), które w coraz większym stopniu stają się częścią głównego nurtu wiedzotwórczego. Cyfrowe technologie i ich potencjał gromadzenia oraz przetwarzania danych zapoczątkował narodziny „czwartego paradygmatu” nauki, opartego na danych dużych rozmiarów (big data). Kluczowe dla tych przemian są procesy datafikacji oraz eksploracji danych, pozwalające na odkrywanie wiedzy z danych „zanieczyszczonych”. Głównym celem rozważań jest opis zjawisk składających się na te procesy oraz wskazanie ich możliwych konsekwencji epistemologicznych. Założono, że nasilające się tendencje datafikacyjne mogą spowodować ukonstytuowanie się datacentrycznego sposobu postrzegania wszystkich aspektów rzeczywistości, czyniąc z danych oraz metod ich przetwarzania rodzaj „wyższej instancji” kształtującej ludzki sposób myślenia o świecie. Badania mają charakter teoretyczny – przeanalizowano takie zagadnienia jak proces datafikacji, pojęcie data science, wskazano także obszary rodzące wątpliwości wobec prawomocności tej formy poznania.

This presentation outlines the movement of the contemporary Church away from the institutional ecclesiology. Within the context of the post-conciliar ecclesiology and being inspired by the thought of Y. Congar, I have developed 5 principles of reform (the Word of God and liturgy, love and witness, anthropological, ecumenical, interreligious). I have also submitted a few practical indications of this reform (tradition and modernity, unity with a whole, freedom and moral standards, respect for the transcendental reality) in order to perform it. The reform of the Church properly understood becomes her development, which should be seen as a long process, inscribed in the history of the Church as well as in the life of a believer. In their everyday life today’s mystics follow this way of the Church’s development and of their own conversion. Mysticism is not just for those who have been specially elected, but by the grace of Baptism, every Christian is called to holiness and to the practice of mysticism. Even not being aware of it, many are practicing it. Thus those principles and indications of the ecclesial reform also apply to our everyday life of following Christ in his Church.
