The challenge is designing an effective orchestration method that allocates instances of edge applications and user plane functions, addressing the diverse requirements of involved stakeholders. We propose, implement, and evaluate new joint orchestration algorithms that take advantage of the abstract representation of edge-cloud continuum resources.
