Benedict XVI pointed out that “small communities are necessary for the Christian life to be able to manifest itself in its own way”. In this article, I will present a theological analysis of future Christianity ecclesially configured into small communities, taking into account the current situation of pastoral and missionary ineffectiveness of the Church in its present mass oriented and clericalist form.
