 abstract={The standard ofliving is growing in the last years. Because ofthat a number ofmanufactured wastes are rising. The superior aim of the politics of waste management is preventing rising of wastes, using and environment- friendly storing. The ways of obtaining metallic lead were discussed as well as his physical and chemical properties and application were described. The article presented as the example the Baterpol Sp. z o.o. engaged of processing and recycling of acid-lead accumulators. Paper refers to the Polish and EU legislation of waste management.},
