 abstract={The article reports the discovery of an unknown political elegy by George of Tyczyn. The text emerged in an American rare books auction and has so far not been listed in any bibliographic studies or library catalogues. The work is a poetic complaint against the Vlachs, who invaded the lands of Pokuttya and Podolia in 1535–1536. Its purpose was to incite the Polish political elite to an armed response. The article presents an overview of George of Tyczyn’s poetic works and a concise presentation of his recently discovered elegy in the context of the earlier literary tradition.},
