 abstract={This paper aims to consolidate the achievements of Professor Zygmunt Ziobrowski, an authority figure in the field of spatial planning and urban planning. His career covered the period from 1959 to 2023. During this time, heengaged in design, research and organizational work. As the Director and Chief Designer of the Institute of Urban Development, he was the author of numerous development plans and studies, each of which was characterized by a well-thought-out methodology and original spatial concepts. He also found time to be active in institutions dealing with space and the environment on a national and international scale. He was the winner of many awards and competitions. His clear and uncompromising views and the extraordinary politeness and decorum with which he was able to defend them earned him universal respect.},
