 abstract={This study explores intercultural communication challenges for Ukrainians learning Polish, highlighting significant cultural and linguistic differences despite similarities. Results of a survey which was made with Ukrainian students show that linguistic similarities aid comprehension, while interlingual homonymy poses challenges. The most difficult for Ukrainian students turned out to be Polish language units (aka culturemes), which are closely related to the specifics of the Polish linguistic picture of the world, national history and traditions.},
