The composition resembles a road novel. Its plot is created by the stories of successive characters who recount in detail their life in the countryside, about their past and finally their death as a result of shelling during the journey. The central theme of the work – the tragedy of the inhabitants of the village of Dalva, which was burned by the occupiers – was shown by the writer from the perspective of several different characters. Ptashnikav used the point of view technique here, situating the narrator’s field of observation in various forms. the prose writer will direct his attention to showing war as an individual experience. This is evidenced by the narrator’s concentration on the mental world of the characters, on the influence of external events on the spiritual experiences of the individual.}, type={Artykuł}, title={War as a Borderline Experience.
