Aims and scope

Aims and scopes

TEKA publishes articles on many aspects of urban planning, urban design, spatial planning, architecture design, theory of urbanism and architecture, landscape architecture, conservation of history monuments and relative topics. 
Topics covered include: urban desing, revital design and housing, adaptation to climate change; development and planning issues; urban management; urban regeneration; urban theory; landscape design, landscape planning, livability and quality of life; greening; creating sustainable cities; sustainable development, architectural design, architectural and urban composition, history of urban desing and architecture, conservation of history monuments, history of garden art, garden art.

Language and Ethics

Manuscripts must be prepared with attention to the basic standards of professional communication. Papers with numerous mistakes, in language, grammar, layout or notation, will be returned to the author without review (see the princyples of manuscript preparation). Any evidence of plagiarism or serial publication of similar manuscripts will result in the immediate termination of the review process.

Manuscript Length

Manuscripts should not exceed 70 000 characters for both langage versions and 35 000 characters just for English version. However, somewhat longer papers may be considered in justified cases – decision due to Editorial Board. Authors are encouraged to contact the editors to discuss it.

Review and Timelines

All manuscripts are screened by the editors; many are returned as unsuitable for review as they do not conform to the preferences discussed above or do not meet editoril requirements.
Papers that are considered for review are sent to qualified reviewers throughout the world; authors are encouraged to suggest expert reviewers for editorial consideration.

The deadline for annual submision is end of March each year.  The editors strive to provide an initial response [reject or revise] to all authors within six to eight weeks. Most successfully revised papers are available for download within 9 months of submission (end of each year).
